Jay Pinsonnault from Seacoast Media Group is special guest this week on the SSF.

Jay and Sherm discuss the annual Seacoast New Hampshire Rivalry Week between Exeter and Hampton…the Bluehawks vs the Warriors.

Both schools and their fall sports teams put it all out on the playing fields for bragging rights and to secure a top spot in the conference.

 

Jay also gives his take on the Patriots and the future for the Red Sox

The football season is underway….

The first week featured some surprises including a last minute head coaching change for the Granite States team with the longest winning streak.

 

The UNH Wildcats pick up their first win of the year against Holy Cross and the New England Patriots surprise fans by beating the Bengals and starting their season with a win for new head coach Jarod Mayo.

 

Roger gives his prediction for the Granite State game of the week.

On this edition of the SSF our guest is Jon Rineman author of "The Garden is Always Greener" (an alternate NBA timeline) of the Boston Celtics.

Jon is a North Hampton native who has been a comedy writer with Jimmy Fallon, Jay Leno among his resume and a lifelong Celtics fan using his talents to write this humorous account  of “what might have been” during the Larry Bird/Michael Jordan era of the NBA.

Jon explains how he put it all together and the inspiration of his enjoying the Celts with his father and seeing Alzheimer’s robbing them of that mutual affection.

The proceeds of the book going to the Alzheimer’s Association now through September.
