Sherm is joined by Coach Jim Tufts and special guest Mark Erickson, senior manager of communications for Special Olympics of New Hampshire. Mark was for years one of the hosts of WOKQ’s “Morning Waking Crew” and during that time he spent many years jumping into the frigid Atlantic Ocean in February off Hampton Beach to raise funds for and awareness of the Special Olympics-“The Penguins Plunge”.
Jim and Mark talk about the history of the “Plunge” and how they became involved with the organization and highlight other upcoming SONH events.
The Two Minute Drill features a tribute to Seacoast N.H. radio legend Mike Martel.
